An argument over possession of an air conditioning unit Friday led to a murder and a shooting with Johnson County Sheriff's Office deputies, Sheriff Bob Alford said.

Staring a loss to crosstown rival Burleson in the face Tuesday night, Centennial volleyball coach Jessica Ransom had one question for her team.

Back-to-back losses may have prepared Burleson more than a pair wins would have for District 9-5A play.

Before a 34-0, win over Crowley last season, Centennial’s previous three games with the Eagles had been tight ones.
