| Woodrow "Hoss" W. McGinty (Posted 3/30/2010) Simi Valley, Calif. -- Woodrow “Hoss” W. McGinty, of Simi Valley, Calif., passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010, at the age of 96. Woodrow was born in Pilot Point, Texas on June 15, 1913 and grew up in and around Fort Worth. He worked as a house painter for many years and was a dedicated member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Keene and Bowie. He was preceded in death by his parents, H. P. and Annie McGinty; brothers, Frank and Raymond and wife, Betty; sisters, Edith Hull and husband, Wilburn, Lucille West and husband, David, and Antha Autrey and husband, Elmer, and first wife, Edith Martin McGinty. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy James McGinty; daughters, Lee McGinty and Leslie Casper; step-son, Lyndol James and wife, Mary; foster son, Marty Woody; grandson, Richard Casper; step-grandson, Robert James and wife, Denise; step-great grandson, Landyn James and many nieces, nephews and friends.
