Keene -- Jean Kluzit, born at Songa Mission, Belgian Congo on August 17, 1932, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Jerseyville, Ill. Her memorial service is 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, in the Chapel of Keene’s Seventh-day Adventist church. The Chapel is on 1st Street, just west of the main sanctuary. Jean and husband Victor (deceased) were missionaries at Bethel School, South Africa and the conference office in Nairobi, Kenya. Retired from mission work in 1975, they settled in Keene with their three daughters, Dorayne, Avril (deceased) and Corinne. Jean worked for a number of years as secretary to Dr. Marvin Anderson at Southwestern Union College/University and then at Huguley Hospital for Dr. Homer and Dr. Tolar. Survivors include daughters, Dorayne Jones and Corinne Kluzit; sister, Doreen McDaniel; brother, Ken Simnett-Pratt; five grandchildren: Jennifer Evans, Michelle Eddins, William Levin, Bryce Hudgins and Shawn Hudgins and seven great-grandchildren. |
