Keene High School junior Manuel Gonzalez hit 10 of 10 free throw attempts in the fourth quarter Tuesday night to lead the Chargers to a 54-50 nail-biting win over Grandview in a battle of District 15-2A leaders at KHS.
Gonzalez led all scorers with 24 points, but none more important than the three consecutive one-and-ones he drained in the final 31 seconds of the game.
The victory improves Keene to 17-8 on the year and 6-2 in district action.
Alik Aaron scored 12 points for the Chargers and Brandon Brown added eight points.
