Investigators from the Johnson County Sheriff's Office and Texas Rangers have apprehended two suspects on multiple charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, Sheriff Bob Alford said. Additional charges are pending.
Taken into custody were Rosalyn Elizabeth  Burdett, 40, and Jay Thomas Morgan, 49. Each has been charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child with bond set for each at $500,000.
On July 30, investigators received information from out of state that explicit child sexual abuse was occurring at a residence in a rural part Johnson County, JSCO Chief Deputy Tim Jones said. Based on evidence received by investigators, a search warrant was obtained for the residence on County Road 526.

detained one female and obtained multiple pieces of electronic hardware believed to contain graphic sexual images engaging in sexual act with adults of both genders," Jones said.
During questioning, Burdett admitted to sexual acts with children and was arrested on the charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child. The children involved as of this point were a 7-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl, Jones said.
 Implications from Burdett indicated another male was involved and supplied his name and location. Based on evidence recovered at the scene and Burdett's statement, an arrest warrant for Morgan was obtained, as well as a search warrant for his residence.

the search of Burdett's house on CR 506 were some of the worst child pornography they have ever seen, Jones said. The children are currently in custody of Child Protective Services, he said.
 On July 31, investigators obtained an arrest warrant on Thomas. He was taken into custody at his work location on South Cooper Street Arlington, Jones said. Investigators then proceed to execute a search warrant on Thomas' residence on the 700 block of Simi Dr. in Arlington. During the search, investigators recovered numerous electronic storage devices relating to the case, Jones said.
"Investigators continue to work this horrific crime and will be conducting interviews and search warrants both in Texas as well as other states," Jones said.
