Keene -- passed away Monday, July 30, 2012, at his home. Funeral services are 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church, with Pastors Mick Thurber and Phil Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Keene Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at Rosser Funeral Home. Dr. Allen was born in Denison, Texas, on Aug. 9, 1923, the son of Minnie (Church) and Charlie Guy Allen. Charles served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He married Cordelia Williamson Sept. 30, 1945, in Keene. Charles is survived by his sons, Dr. Larry Allen and wife, Marcie, of Mesa, Ariz. and Dr. Jack Allen and wife, Janet, of Burleson; sister, Verna Allen, of Denison; grandchildren, Jay Allen and wife, Tiffany, Chad Allen and wife, Kami, Krista Adams, and Trisha Hawker and husband, Justin.
